We welcome submissions from colleagues worldwide that share insights, practices, and experiences related to cultural, research, and heritage collections.

Digital Days 2026 Theme: Content at Risk

Cultural heritage institutions, artists, and media producers face a rapidly shifting landscape in which vast amounts of cultural content are at risk—from fragile physical carriers to endangered born-digital formats, and from evolving or disappearing platforms to the absence of documentation, inventories, and quality metadata or paradata.

As audiovisual production, digital publishing, and cultural memory practices accelerate, so too do the risks of loss, obsolescence, and inaccessibility.

This conference brings together cultural heritage professionals, digital humanities students, and researchers in arts and social sciences, information and data studies, as well as computer science to exchange knowledge, explore emerging approaches, and build collaborations around preserving and sustaining cultural content that is at risk.
