Marie Capesius
HELIOPOLIS
(Edition)
HELIOPOLIS is an editorial project dedicated to the first naturist village in Europe, founded in 1930 on the Levant Island. In 1950, French soldiers also invaded the island. To date, the fenced military base occupies 90 percent of the island and serves as a missile launch test site. Fascinated by the coexistence of these seemingly opposing but overlapping worlds, photographer Marie Capesius goes to meet the inhabitants of Heliopolis and explores, through a long-term approach, the history of this particular place.
Serge Ecker
Hidden in plain sight (titre de travail)
(Création)
The world around us is constantly changing: organic life forms and built structures evolve, disappear or are replaced. Old disused places, structures and buildings develop new life, new layers, in the absence of and unrelated to human intervention. It is by visiting these places and carrying out his research that Serge Ecker explores the question of the ‘Anthropocene landscape’.
