Imaginary Explorations – Surreal Photocollage

Synonymous with dreams, imagination, and the fantastical, surrealism is an art movement free from all preconceptions. Surrealist artists delighted in creating works overflowing with nonsense and unexpected associations.

To create such unusual artworks, participants will play the Exquisite Corpse game—a writing or drawing activity particularly loved by surrealist artists to stimulate their imagination or simply for fun. Children will compose their own surreal photocollages using images sourced from magazines and other illustrated publications.

Here, they are invited to let go, transcend reality, and explore their inner world.
