Work, relationships, purchasing power, housing, family, holidays: every facet of our lives is being reshaped by ecological crises.

How can we portray these transformations and craft relevant narratives for a world changing so rapidly? How do we move beyond stories that leave us feeling hopeless? How can we weave reality into our films?

This workshop is designed as a collaborative discussion between writers, addressing their blocks, fears, and insecurities, but also their agency, creative questions, and sense of possibility. By presenting concrete facts about the state of the world, the power of cinema, practical examples, existing tools, and an analysis of projects currently in development, we will explore together how to narrate the present at the intersection of ecology and dramaturgy.

Lucie Trémolières

Lucie Trémolières is a writer, director, and performer for both stage and screen. She is particularly interested in "New Narratives" and our multifaceted, often contradictory emotional responses to environmental crises—frequently explored through the lens of comedy. She also serves as a trainer for the Ecoprod collective and the TorinoFilmLab’s Green Film Lab.
