The work and the relationship between the director and the actor is a key issue in the making of a film. The direction of actors does not stop, as we often hear it said, at the time of the casting. It continues throughout filming through dialogue intended to guide the actor's creative process. Because the actor is a key part of the creation of a film and not just someone who puts himself in his mark and says the text "with conviction and feelings" - as the director would hear it in his head... A language exists, a mode of communication that helps the actor, which excites him and makes him want to play off the beaten track. Acquiring it is the objective of this workshop for directors, by alternating a presentation of the tools to its implementation in the form of exercises or scenes, under the direction of Pico Berkowitch. "Acting is the ability for the actor to live in complete truth, within the imaginary circumstances proposed by the author", says Sanford Meisner. He also adds, “Playing does not consist in saying a text, but in finding what makes the words of the dialogue necessary”. The actors, accompanied by Pico Berkowitch, will be able to discover the Meisner technique and apply it under the direction of the participating directors.
